Calming, comforting, nourishing…and pretty. This rose-tinted Latte is caffeine free and the perfect drink for curling up with your favourite book.
Not just a pretty face, this latte is also packed full of healing, natural ingredients to soothe as well as satisfy.
Slippery Elm bark helps to reduce inflammation, aid the digestion and soothe dry sore throats and coughs. When mixed with water, slippery elm in its powder form turns slightly gel like – which means a super frothy, luxurious latte in this case!
Beet powder assists in enhancing energy and stamina and in supporting heart health and circulation.
Raw honey adds that hint of sweetness and is full of antioxidants that help protect our bodies from cell damage and free radicals.
The aroma of roses (from a dash of rosewater) is said to be a powerful mood enhancer and can reduce anxiety and promote emotional wellbeing – so breeeeathe it in!
Served here with creamed hazelnut mylk chocolate mixed with cranberries and crunchy activated buckwheat from Loving Earth for extra indulgence!
You will need per serve:
1 1/3 cup of milk of your choice
1 teaspoon beet powder
1 teaspoon slippery elm bark powder
1 tablespoon raw honey (or to taste)
1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped
Few drops of pure rosewater
Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan (over a gentle heat) or a milk frother until warmed through and frothy. We’ve sprinkled some extra beet powder and edible dried rose petals on top of ours for extra prettiness.
Pour into your favourite mug, take a seat, sip slowly and savour this decadent drink.
